The Scientometer hits twice more

| |
I got to be invited again, along with my dear friend Hazel Silistre (picture 2), to two more public engagement events taking place at the Nottingham University Academy of Science and Technology (NUAST). This meant a lot of chocolates and sweets of different sorts were purchased and the Scientometer got to be turned on again (picture 1). It is incredible that such a simple tool like PowerPoint, a printed poster and a bit of imagination can do to entice kids to science. This time I could really see the way kids try to engage in thinking possible answers when they do not know them straight away. There were some incredible brains that will deliver some Nobel prizes to the country in the future, an excess of competitiveness in some of them (typical of their age!), but also a great deal of group synergy... the sweet prizes we had were a nice decoy, though.

Take a look at some of the nice pictures of the moments produced.
